Facebook Announcing More Major Profile Changes at f8 Conference this Week

As if Facebook doesn't confuse me enough already with some of its approaches to functionality and nomenclature, they plan on announcing some major new profile functionality changes at their f8 Developers Conference in San Francisco this week. Looks like Google+ continues to put the pressure on Facebook, and Facebook isn't going to stand still for it! The battle of the titans is heating up nicely.

Facebook Inc. is ramping up efforts to give people greater control over how they use the social network, as it moves to compete with Google Inc.'s fledgling Google+.

On Tuesday, Facebook revealed an overhaul to an application called Friend Lists, which allows people to place their friends into groups. The new feature automatically puts users' friends into lists like work, school and family.
